Have you ever seen a student who comes class who is physically present, but not really present? Or maybe you've seen a student who comes to school everyday--he writes the class notes, doesn't participate or ask questions, doesn't complain and earns 65s? As an educator you've probably had one or a few of these pupils.  This type of behavior is typical of what is called a reluctant learner. A reluctant learner is a student who is willing to just get by academically. They are unmotivated, disengaged and do bare minimum work. This presentation provides participants with tools to help them reach and motivate these students to academic success.
