Benjamin: Twelve Months (14:47)

Megan: Twenty-Three Months (08:51)
Megan compares spools of thread to yo-yos. She fits balls into cardboard tubes, dumps them out again, hides objects under furniture, and engages her mother in play. She uses some words.
Jamie: Twenty-Three Months (10:24)
Jamie lines up plastic cups and containers. She stacks wooden rings and then places rings and dominoes into the containers. She counts the dots on each domino. Jamie expresses frustration and uses no words.
Megan and Jamie: Two Years, Five Months (14:48)
The children explore household objects in a deliberate way, imitating each other and cooperating with one another. Jamie exhibits more focus while Megan is interested in interactions.
