Using Bloom's taxonomy, Rick Stevenson interviews subjects annually, encouraging self-discovery. Sam and Luke love their family but do not have a good relationship with each other. Both begin to cry when they speak about it.

From Brothers to Best Friends (04:43)
Sam was elected president of his class, because Luke dressed up in a bee costume and campaigned for him. A chemical imbalance caused Sam's depression. Since deciding to change his outlook, Sam and Luke have not fought.

Meet Zeke and Eli (03:52)
Zeke wants to become a doctor, a famous actor, or a baseball player. He worries about peer pressure and taking drugs or smoking as a teenager. Eli describes why his parents split up.

Getting Addicted to Drugs (03:49)
Zeke and Simon started doing drugs together as a way to bond. Their parents met at Narcotics Anonymous. Eli refused to take part in the drug abuse.

Trouble with the Law (03:13)
After being charged with vehicular assault, DUI, and possession, Zeke was ordered to take mandatory drug tests. Eli refused to give him urine so he could pass it. A judge sentenced Zeke to 45 days in jail; he hopes to study mechanical engineering when he gets on parole.

Zeke and Eli (04:04)
During the recession, Eli's father sold all his assets and bought a sailboat leaving Eli needs to pay for college on his own. Zeke has remained sober for the past two years, attends Washington State University, and has a good relationship with his younger brother.

Meet Zoriah and Veda (03:39)
Zoriah wants to be a paleontologist when he grows up and loves going to the Woodland Park Zoo with his father. Veda stands up for her brother when classmates pick on him. Their mother is unhealthy and lives in Pennsylvania; their father will not allow the siblings to visit.

Mother Dies (05:53)
Zoriah plans on making a ceramic with his mother's ashes while Veda hopes to use it in a tattoo. Veda begins to act out in classes; Zoriah finds solace in high school. Both worry about becoming an addict.

First Day of School (06:12)
Veda stopped acting out and got an A in math. Zoriah wants to pursue his art and obtain a teaching degree to pay the bills. Both think their mother should have tried harder to stay away from drugs and think their father sacrificed a lot.
