The Explore Personal Finance Curriculum is ideal for any Personal Financial Literacy course. There are six units of instruction - Employment, Money Management, Banking, Thinking of the Future, Borrowing Money, and Economics - that break down into 12 chapters. Each chapter is comprised of five Big Ideas, which highlight key topics like It is important to understand how to read a paycheck and The 50/30/20 rule can help a person learn about money management.

The Curriculum comes with a comprehensive Instructor's Guide with introductory, vocabulary, and Big Idea lessons to be used in conjunction with all 12 chapters of the Student Book. Each chapter begins with the Big Picture statement, outlining the most important theme of the chapter, and the 5 Big Ideas. The Big Idea page contains a QR code, which will lead students to an original video based on that Big Idea. The provided Big Idea Cards may be used by themselves or in conjunction with the Explore Personal Finance Student Book. Each Big Idea Card includes the same information provided in each Big Idea section of the Student Book. The consumable Student Workbooks correspond to the Student Book and reduce prep time. The workbooks condense the student activities from the Student Book into a consumable option.

Vocabulary Cards are provided for all chapter vocabulary. These cards can be used when using the Time-Delay strategy, Model-Lead-Test, as well as review activities. A Time-Delay Procedure Card and Model-Lead-Test Procedure Card are provided for you as a reference to use when teaching vocabulary terms.

The Practice Checks feature empty sections students may use to practice filling out a check (e.g., recipient, date, amount, and signature). Students may use the Practice Checks when learning different ways to receive their salary or pay for common goods. The provided Practice Currency allows students to use a hands-on model when discussing important financial topics, such as when it is appropriate to spend money and how to calculate the percentage of a person's income that should go to savings. Practice Currency may also be used to represent a person's budget and to compare/ contrast the currency to Practice Credit Cards, when learning about financial responsibility. The Practice Credit Cards allow students to study the components of a credit card (e.g., credit card number, expiration date, security code, card company, chip, and cardholder name) to make purchases. The Practice Credit Cards may be used in conjunction with the Practice Currency to show students how when they make purchases with a credit card, they are still spending cash. Ways to incorporate Practice Checks, Currency, and Credit Cards into lessons are included throughout the Instructor's Guide.

The provided Paystub Poster allows students to visualize a paystub that they may receive in the real-world. The Bank Account Poster shows students how transactions appear on a bank account statement. The Monthly Budget Poster makes it possible for the instructor and students to envision their own monthly budget, or that of different scenarios included throughout the Student Book.

Lastly, the Deposit, Withdrawal, and Transfer Slips make it possible for the instructor or students to represent common transactions done at a bank. Students may role-play various transactions, such as getting their salary deposited or transferring money to a friend, using the Transaction Slips.

Curriculum includes: 1 Instructor's Guide, 1 Student Book, 2 consumable Student Workbooks, Vocabulary Cards, Big Idea Cards, Script Cards, Practice Currency, Checks, and Credit Cards, 3 posters, and the Cashier @ Work App.
